$1,850.00

Oil on mortar board
18″x24″

Georgia O’Keeffe’s Favorite Church Oil Painting is an 18″x24″ oil on mortar board piece. The church is commonly known as the Ranchos Church, but the real name is the San Fancisco de Assisi Mission Church in Ranchos de Taos (just south of the town of Taos). It was made famous by artist Georgia O’Keeffe who painted it several times between 1929 – 1930 and Ansel Adams who also photographed it in 1929.

Local Abiquiu area artist Diane Walton Reitz painted the exterior of the church in this piece with exquisite attention to detail contrasting the adobe building against the blue sky beautifully.
